Car Rental Terms & Conditions
Reservations
Although our fleet includes various categories of cars, we cannot guarantee a specific make, model or fuel type. The vehicle shown on the website and in the booking confirmation is indicative of the class and may be replaced with another similar car in the same class as your booking.
In the event of damage or accident, we will provide you with a similar car or, if not available, a car of the next class, unless the incident is due to negligence or misuse contrary to applicable law or the terms of the rental agreement.
Driver
The minimum acceptable age is 23 years for all categories up to category E and 26 years for categories E and above (large and/or luxury vehicles). The driver must have held a driving license for at least one year. Only the drivers listed in the rental agreement are allowed to drive the car.
New driver
Papadakis rent car accepts younger drivers for an additional daily charge of 6 euros per driver, up to a maximum of 40 euros per rental to cover higher insurance premiums.
Additional drivers
An additional driver can be added to the rental agreement free of charge. For more than one additional driver, there is an additional charge of 2 euros per day.
Driving license
A valid license issued at least one year ago is required. Non-EU citizens must present both an international driving license and an original licence.
Payment method
The renter must provide a valid credit card in their name as a rental guarantee, even if payment is made in cash. The rental is prepaid and must be paid upon delivery of the car. We accept all major credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, paypal).
Summons – Fines
Summons and fines for violations during the tenancy are the responsibility of the tenant, along with an administrative fee of 25 euros.
Charges
The basic charge covers one 24-hour period and includes:
• Unlimited mileage
• Free second guide
• 24-hour roadside assistance
• Third Party Waiver Insurance (C.D.W)
• Taxes and fees All charges include VAT.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled start of the rental. Acceptable cancellation methods include emailing our offices. Cancellations within the time limit receive a full refund. Otherwise, the amount is non-refundable.
Booking Changes
You can change your reservation by email at least 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up to ensure availability. Changes at vehicle pick-up may result in a different charge depending on the new model or length of rental.
Deliveries – Collections outside of opening hours
For deliveries or pickups outside opening hours, a charge of 15 euros applies.
Deliveries – Pickups Outside the Station
Deliveries and collections within Athens, hotels and central locations are free during opening hours. Special charges apply for Athens airport locations outside the 10 minute window. Port of Rafina: For the delivery or collection of the car within the company’s opening hours, the fee is 15 euros.
Deliveries – Collections Outside Athens Center
Charges vary by location, with a minimum of 5 euros and a maximum of 50 euros, depending on the distance.
Kilometers
Unlimited mileage is included from the first day of rental.
Delay in receipt
Vehicles reserved will be available for one hour after the scheduled collection time or flight arrival time (with prior notification). After this period, the reservation may be marked as “NO SHOW,” and the vehicle may not be available, with no obligation to refund any prepaid amount.
Vehicle return
Vehicles must be returned during office hours. Outside office hours, follow the manager’s instructions, and the vehicle remains your responsibility until the office reopens.
Early Return
No refunds for early returns.
Late delivery
A one-and-a-half-hour grace period is allowed after the rental period ends. Beyond this, an extra day’s charge applies.
Fuel policy
Return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as when picked up, as stated in the rental agreement. No refunds for excess fuel. charges apply for less fuel.
Additional charges
Additional charges may include:
• Personal Insurance (PAI)
• Fuel charges
• Mixed insurance €400
• New or additional driver
• Delivery delay
• Special cleaning
• Tolls or traffic fines
• Child seats: 4 euros for 1-3 days, 3.50 euros/day from the 4th day (maximum 35 euros/rental). Loss/damage fee: 150 euros.
• Snow chains: 5 euros/day (maximum 80 euros/rental).

Transport of the rental vehicle outside of Greece
It is only allowed under certain conditions, such as written permission, payment by credit card and additional theft insurance. Costs and conditions vary by vehicle class.
Accident
In the event of an accident, notify the company and the police immediately and provide the police incident report upon return. Failure to follow these steps voids insurance coverage and incurs full liability for damages. In the event of an accident due to our customer’s fault, an additional €30 is charged for handling the accident file.

Insurance & Extensions
Vehicles are insured against third party damage. CDW covers damages above a set limit of €400, provided all conditions are met. Additional insurance options include personal accident insurance (PAI), theft insurance (TP) and comprehensive insurance, each with specific terms and charges. . Damage to tires, damage to the underside of the car, as well as theft of personal belongings are not covered by any insurance
Roadside assistance
Our cars are covered 24 hours by roadside assistance. Contact information is provided upon receipt. In the event of a breakdown or accident, please contact our offices for assistance.
Long Term Leases
Leases renew every 30 days.
